El Jardin de Celeste

 By: Hugh C. Talley
Elizabeth, her sister, Chata and I was in Ahuachapan last week o the 22nd of December and we stopped to have lunch at Restaurant El Jardin de Celeste (The blue Garden), this is a beautiful restaurant located on the route of the flowers.
Elizabeth and Chata had the beef tenderloin and I had the breast of chicken with mushroom sauce for dessert, Elizabeth and Chata had the macadamia nut pie,  I had the cheese cake with strawberries. The food, the service and the prices were excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant. They also have very nice cabins that you can rent, starting at $55.00 a night, this is a wonderful area, the climate is much cooler and less humid than along the coast.
We have posted some pictures of our visit.
Please leave us your comments or suggestions. Elizabeth and I also want to thank all of you who read and follow our post.

Hi Hugh, My name is Dan McMullan and my wife is Haydee. I am Canadian, she Salvadorian. I used to work building cars for Chrysler, but in 2009, I had a mild heart attack which forced me to retire early. 2011, we scraped enough money to build a small house in Las Veraneras which is a guarded community right beside the De Cameron. We would like to hear from you. We are returning to El Sal in November

    • Hi Dan, sorry that I am just now answering you, this has been a rough year for me, I had a heart operation last year, I have been sick a lot this year and I lost a daughter to a car accident in Florida a couple of months ago, so I have not been on my blog site.
I just returned from a 4 day stay at the De Cameron and we really enjoyed it, We had been there a couple of times and I did not like some of the things about it, but this time I can see where they have made a lot of improvements, I plan to write a blog post on it this week.
I would like very much to hear from you when you return in November. My wife, Elizabeth and I built our home in Cara Sucia, only about an hour from you.
Take care and we hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you for your reply Hugh. I am no stranger to illness, in fact I might have to delay my trip to El Salvador this year. Stay strong and live the remainder of your life to the fullest

  3. Thank you, I hope you will be able to return soon. I have not been back to the states since I retired here in November of 2011 and I would sure not want to be there in the winter months. I wish you well and hope to hear from you soon.
